Okay, so not only am I working on the merino/silk scarf, but I went ahead and started another knitted scarf. I really must be a glutton for punishment. But I have a logical reason for starting it! (More or less.)

Scatter Stitch Scarf
It’s a gift, and it’s getting to be overdue. I had a long car ride ahead of me, and a simple stitch pattern, so I went for it.
Here is what I got done in three hours of drive time. Well, not all three hours were spent knitting, doncha know, but I gave it a pretty good effort. It is currently fourteen inches long and still crocking. But not badly. Another soak or two once it’s all knit should fix it up just fine.

A Lovely Sweater
Ta-da! Finished at last. My first sweater ever to be hand-spun, hand-dyed, and hand-crocheted. (I’d add “hand-processed,” but that wouldn’t be truthful because I bought the fiber as nice, squishy roving.)

I mean ploy. See? It’s working already.
So, here is the first break’s goal.

Two Projects to Finish
Finish spinning and plying the merino/silk batt, and preferably knit it into a scarf. And, since I don’t seem to know when to stop, I also want to knit the shiny red yarn into a scarf for a friend of mine. It’s spun from the roving I dyed with the cochineal. You may have noticed, I used the “k” word twice! Yes, I’m serious about this knitting thing. Therefore, both scarves will be knit as practice for the sweater I’m planning to make. And before you say “
Another sweater? ” let me explain. It will not be another sweater, but a re-do. I’m unraveling the teal Rebecca sweater.
I’ll wait for you to collect your wits.
Are we good now? Okay. Let me explain.

I’ve been crocheting away for the past week or so, working on the merino sweater, and now I’ve finished the body piece! It fits quite well, and I’m excited to see how it will block.
