A New Yarn

Eek! I’m just so excited about this yarn I have to share. I’m now hand-dyeing “Jaggerspun Zephyr” laceweight. (It’s a gorgeous, commercial blend of merino and tussah silk.) Anyway, here’s the first of the bunch. “Frosted Peppermint.”

Delicious! I wish I could reach through the computer screen and pet it. ^^

what kind of dye did you use? I have two big cones of zephyr which I would like to over dye. Have you overdyed Zephyr?

I used Jacquard Acid Dyes, and I really like the results.

I haven’t tried over-dyeing Zephyr before. Is the yarn already a dark color? Because you won’t get very good results with trying to over-dye a really intense color. Really all you could do is sort of nudge the color in a different direction.
