Yarn Photos – Week Four

It’s hard to believe there are only three days left in April! And, while I did forget on a couple of days this last week, I went ahead and took extra pictures to make up for them.

Here is some indigo-dyed cotton. The yarn had a very interesting texture which I wanted to capture in this close up.

This is a ball of some handspun that I made a long time ago. Quite probably with some of the first fiber I ever dyed. Lovely intense colors.

Here is some more handspun, and again, I wanted to get the fuzzy, lumpy texture into the photo. The camera really gave me fits with the colors, though. It did not like them at all.

A smoosh of gray-blue silk. I think it would be a little more effective as a photo if the background had stayed white instead of turning bluish like the rest.

My yarn terrarium shot! I’m really happy with the way this one turned out. Handspun and hand dyed yarn in a really cool vase jug.

Then I couldn’t decide which I liked better. This one. . .

Or the one where it goes around the edge. This is hand-dyed handspun.

And then this one is another incident of the camera throwing a temper tantrum. It did not like the scarlet and lime combination at all.

And, gasp, I ran out of readily available handspun or hand-dyed yarns that I wanted to take photos of, so I used a commercial yarn. (Don’t panic! It is one of my favorite yarns. And I posed it with a really cool handmade ring I got from a seller on Etsy.)
