Oh So Subtle

I’ve been having lots of fun spinning up the Gawain batt. The colors are turning out gorgeously! A muted, shiny gray-blue, rising into greens and purples, with the occasional brown, cream, and navy streak. Everything blends beautifully into one big color shift.

I’m spinning this very, very thin. The idea is to spin it into sock yarn and then do the obvious with it. (No, I don’t mean hang it on the wall to gloat over for the rest of my life.) It’s superwash merino and silk, which will be handy when it comes time to wash the wonderful little socks.

And the socks will not only be gorgeous and easy-care–they’ll feel fabulous too!

Gorgeous! I love the top photo. It makes me think of underwater or maybe some kind of galaxy. Hmmm.
