Blue Crocuses

Alright, everyone. Sorry about the irregularity of posts lately. What with a head cold, web browser trouble, and WordPress acting up, I’ve let things rest. But, the cold is going away, the browser is fixed, and that solved WordPress’s problems. Hold onto your hats! I’ve got a bunch of things to share with you during the next week or so.

I’ve made progress on the blue wrap I’m crocheting from the merino/bamboo blend I got from Whorling Tides.

What you see there is my second start on crocheting. The first time I forgot about blocking and thought that it looked really narrow, so I widened it. As I neared the end of the first of only two balls of yarn, I got to wondering whether the apparently foot-long wrap would block into a decent length. I’ve never blocked crochet before, so you can understand why it knocked me for a loop. (No pun intended.) I decided to gently tear it out and start over at the recommended width.

I wish you could see it blocked. Or at least, stretched out enough to make the pattern visible. It’s very pretty.
